The monsters in A Quiet Place are so poorly written it's kinda sad. (Spoilers).

So first off. The biggest and most glaring issue with this movie and that the monsters are never explained but the movie acts as if they were. For example that movie is under the impression you know the monsters have armor that makes them impervious to bullets that can be "peeled back" to reveal a weaker skin that can be shot. For whatever genetic advantage that feature gives.

So, the monster's armor will peel back if they're disoriented. Something that can disorient them is a high pitched sound.

So you're supposed to believe that every government and military force in the world never tried to use sound frequencies as a weapon against these aliens despite the fact that people become aware very quickly that the aliens are blind and track via sound. They go after sounds that are inconsistent so that's why they don't attack waterfalls.

Excusing the fact that some areas would be so loud that the aliens would get disoriented just going near these places. You have to believe that not a single military force tried using sound against the monsters. Despite the fact that their sound tracking makes them very easy to exploit and manipulate. Tricking monsters with sound is a fucking cliche for crying out loud.

I can't suspend my disbelief for something this unbelievably stupid.

Was it an M. Night movie? It sounds like one. That guy couldn't direct his way out of a paper bag.

I watched it as well and I thought overall the movie was kind of meh. It really wasn't anything I haven't seen before, but apparently the reviews for it were really great. The whole setting was just rather hard to believe honestly, and there was little care or representation for the setting in the movie. The characters were also very generic and everything progressed almost exactly how I thought it would. I just don't understand most movie review sites tbh. This is what a 95% fresh movie looks like according to rotten tomatoes?

Reminded me of another movie called It Comes at Night. All the reviews for it were positive, and it turned out to be a waste of time and was basically shit. Shit like that is why I stopped going to the cinema.
