My exerience in bronze

What's good summoners!

I'm sure there are plenty of discussions like this but I'd like to speak about this myself...

My name is foxta03 and I am a Bronze player on league. My account has been a rather unstable one when it comes to my role in the game. Originally, I was an ADC but when I realised I couldn't CS I moved to support, again in the bot lane. I invested a lot of my ranked time as a support and dedicated myself to support by buying champs and skins that came out (wasting my money T T). After dropping League for a good ^ months, I came back as a jungler, since CSing in jungle is easier than in lane (If you're as low as me). From B5 0LP, I climbed to B4 100LP with 14 a 14 win streak practically only with wukong. However, after failing to enter b3 4 times, I have begun to lose again... and am currently on B4 9LP. Although I win here and there, I'm often carried by my midlaner who is also often yasuo, since wukong and yasuo are a juicy comp with our ults together.

I know that there are a lot of problems with my gameplay but I firmly believe that a lot of my losses are due to my team not having the knowledge of objectives and teamfights. For example, I was in a game where the Morgana tried 1v5ing the enemy and when she died, blamed her teammates for her death by not engaging (we were also losing).

I recently started watching twitch to begin learning from pros and high elo players but dont know many junglers apart from pantsaredragon. I believe that watching streamers is better to improve gameplay rather than watching lcs. a lot of usefl information can be gathered by what streamers say. An example of this is, an easy electrocute proc with wukong is E - Auto - Q. I learnt this while watching a streamer's highlights on Youtube but thats the same thing.

These are the questions that I have for the community:

Are there any other ways for me to climb or improve? How can I analyse my own gameplay or replays to criticise my actions in game? Is it wise to carry on playing as a wukojng jungle one-trick? What other champions can i pick up that are similar to wukong? What streamers do you watch for jungle (EU streamers if possible)? What benefit does LCS actually give me if I watch it?

Thank you very much for reading this and I highly appreciate the help from the community for answering my questions and giving my advice for my future in ranked.

Every single game you lose is going to be because one or more of your teammates made mistakes. That doesn't mean that the game wasn't also lost because you made mistakes. Yeah, some games are going to be harder because your teams are going to make more mistakes than other games, but in many games, especially in low bronze, there are opportunities to steamroll the enemy team that you are missing that will negate the mistakes of your teammates altogether.

As for your questions:

  1. There are countless things to focus on to improve, the goal is to try and take things one at a time and not focus on tiny things that probably won't impact the outcome of the game as much as larger macro mistakes and large mistakes in your mechanical play. By this I mean it's good to time an enemy's flash, but focusing on timing summoners or focusing on perfect ward placement, while great, isn't your biggest concern if you are caught up in the elo you're at.

  2. Have someone else review them with you. Even the wins, because you're guaranteed to be making a lot of mistakes there too.

  3. Yes. Wukong is a simple enough champ, and you should not be focusing your efforts on learning 3-4 champs at the same time if you're trying to get a grasp of just executing the basics of winning a game.

  4. Warwick, Vi, and Xin Xhao are strong and simple picks you can play in the jungle that can decide the course of a game if played correctly. Again, don't play all of them, just focus on one, and have a decent grasp of a second in case your main is banned.

  5. Not sure about this one, jungle isn't my main role so I don't watch many jungle streamers.

  6. Entertainment, absolutely nothing else.

idk i came to this game because i just didn't have the nerve to play dota anymore. i needed something more casual. something that isn't so intense on my nerves that makes me feel like i need a xanax after every game.

i only play norms...if i started ranked it would defeat the purpose, and i would probably just end up quitting entirely due to anxiety. maybe, maybe not. I just don't want to take the chance.

guess i was one of those self-conscious carries. ya know. if something is too heavy, i always figure it was my fault. i couldn't help it. I would say "don't blame your team" but that might have been my problem.
