Why are we not allowed to view other players Honor level?

Hello Everyone, I have a question and it has been on my mind for a while now. I was wondering why we can not see another players Honor level. Is it so we don't compare ourselves tooter people? If it is for that reason, then why let us see the other person level? I was looking on my friends profile and I looked where the Honor level is shown and when I moved my mouse over to it... you know what it said? It said "Other players' Honor level is not displayed" I would like to know why does Riot not want us to see the other person's Honor level.
