Yes I Deserved the Permaban

After over 4 years of playing in bronze 4 and 5 I have been permabanned. Any money invested in game is a loss but with the items purchased being virtual anyway I have basically lost some make believe. Too bad, it took a while to build the champions skins and goodies. I had.

But it is my fault for taking the bait and letting myself be drawn into battles with people who’s only reason for being there is to cause mischief. I read here on another thread from an admin person that 95% of players have never received any punishment. If you believe that and play this game regularly, I have a bridge to sell you at a discount of course. A more likely thing is 95% of players escape punishment is more likely.

Studies have shown that people love drama way more than they love music or comedy or other activities. People live off the drama and that is why reality tv shows are popular. Take away the drama and it’s far less interesting...

And so it is I believ it is with LOL. Take away the drama, and far less people would play. Take Away the ability to make new accounts and the drama would decrease and so would the number of people playing statistically. No, people love the drama and the mute button is seldom used. They like to argue and fight and this is a fighting game. Just wish riot would spend a little more time working on the intentional feeders, th afk farming jungles who do nothing in the game and the players that as a team go around drawing people into arguments so they can be reported. You play with the same players over and over and it is very frustrating to know you will be playing for up to 45 mins or more on a team who’s only purpose is to start trouble. Or you have that player you know and everyone else knows is a clever intentional feeder. My chat got me permabanned like it gets most who are permabanned. But I wish riot would put some focus on the play of some of the negatives.

It's not zero-sum. Chat is easier to crack down on than active behavior, and it's not like resources are being funneled into chat policing at the expense of punishing intentional feeders and such.

I'll celebrate with the rest when Riot finds an efficient and reliable way to determine that a player is intentionally feeding, as opposed to playing badly/lagging/being shit/etc., but I sympathize with how hard that is for any company to determine for sure.
