There's a reason league has the preseason in which no ranked counts - they've made or are making major changes and as such it can be very easy to cheese a rank.
Furthermore, the last time that league had a preseason that counted for ranked was preseason 3, and any rank gained then counted towards season 3, not season 2 which just ended.
