hey im new here level 15 ... and ive been playing as nocturn sinse i got here he is the only one i baught so far ....and im doing great so far last game i had 15 kills with him for 2 deaths .....now my question is is he a good assassin i mean can i rely on him all the way to level 30 or do i need an other assassin every one says zed is the best what do u think ?
It's hard to say with how preseason works.
In the past he's been overshadowed by many other champions. His ultimate while good doesn't really protect you at all when facing enemy teams grouped up. Other assassins rely on high mobility and untargetability to get to their targets and escape. With Nocturne all you have is a spellshield. That's not good enough protect yourself. Now there is ways to make his spell shield very hard to break by getting more spellshield items. Mainly edge of night. Don't buy banshee's veil, the ability power doesn't help you at all. I guess Nocturne's advantage is he can build defensive items and use them decently unlike a Zed where him buying a thornmail just doesn't do much for him compared to Nocturne.
Now he is good at isolated targets with his abilities, but so are all the other assassins in the game. Hell they could do it faster than Nocturne and get out quickly.
Now if you can keep winning with Nocturne just continue playing him. Don't stop playing any champion, if you win a lot with them.
thank you .....now yes i do win alot with nocturne and u said he only have a spell sheald well here i disegree with u his abilitys are a dubleedge sword 1 he has the duskbringer which can be used either to attack an enemy from a distense then shacing him down(while nocturne in the path of it he has increased speed and AS) or to escape just by aiming it the oposit direction then nocturn can move faster and through units. 2 the shrouds of darkness can either be used to increase the AS or like u said a sheild against an enemy ability. 3 my favorit UNSPEAKEBLE HOROR its nuts it can deal damage to an enemy over time and terifys him making nocturne insainly fast and giving him increased AS and damage towerds that enemy and it can save u if ur on low health and someone is chasing u simply it sends him away ..... and paranoya is just pure gold to an assassin
Nocturne isn't a good character in general because of how Feast/Famine he is. His ults strong but he is engaging with no escape.
If you like nocturne you'll like zed and talon for sure.

Talon is on free week rotation if I remember correctly, make sure to try him too. You might enjoy his playstyle.
