Why even change Varus' lore when you already have champions that people have headcanon'd as gay?

Caitlyn and Vi are widely believed to be gay for each other. Why not expand on that?

You never needed to create new characters. You never needed to change established lore. You have these characters people think are gay. Fucking utilize them.

Instead of making a change that a lot of people would have been comfortable with you told people that liked Varus' lore "go fuck yourself."

Stop wasting the goddamn potential of your characters.

Nah you see Varus needs to be a complete fuck up that gave the enemy the weapon to destroy the rainbow bridge while Morgana waits in hiding for her turn to complete Ragnarok against Kayle

I thought the general story goes that Vi wants Caitlyn as a lover but Caitlyn is only interested as a friend/business partner.
