I've gotten into game development to make interesting and fun games. I would never go near EA as a developer. My goal isn't to make people hate me and make money. My goal is to make a game that people will find fun while making money.

EA is just looking out for themselves. You'd do the same if you were in their position.

When someone is defending a company's ridiculous business practices, I always wonder if they're just trolling or if they're actually that much of a sheep.

These big companies develop layers of useless people in useless bureaucratic positions, and have to do stupid shit like this to make money

Oh my EA is doing what every other company does except that we can talk shit about EA while we glorify Bethesda and Firaxis and their shit.

EA is shit, this isn't new. I'm starting to fall into the mindset of anybody who falls for their garbage deserves to lose the money they spend on it. But then I remember that as long as scumbags like EA are making profits the industry will follow their example... Time to quit videogames and go live under a rock I guess.
