UPS Rant
I called customer service about my computer never showing up so they filed a claim for me and get the process started for trying to locate it. They said it would take 7 business days to complete the claim so I waited and then called customer service back after the wait was over. The person on the line told me to call the store from which I shipped it from and gave me the number. I called them and said they wouldn't be able to help me until the next day so I called them today and the dude said that they never got any paperwork about the claim and he would call me tomorrow when he got everything sorted out with the paperwork. I asked him how long the process would take and he said it would be 1 to 2 weeks and a whole month worst case.
The dude said he would call me back either today or tomorrow to update me on the situation so I'll probably ask him to escalate it so I don't end up having to wait so long for them to not find my computer. It was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago so I'm kinda just done now. I'm kinda considering just asking if they can not look for my computer anymore and just give me compensation to build a new one at this point. Tilted af rn.
Update: So what ended up happening was that they fucked up the shipping label and it went from Ohio to California, back to Ohio, and then back to California. I got a call from the UPS store saying they had the package so I went and picked it up about an hour and a half ago. When I first sent the package I asked them if they could wrap it up in bubble wrap for me and they said they would, but I guess they didn't want to so they just sent it as is and now the case is all mashed up so I have to get a new one. All of the parts seem to be working fine so it could be worse. Oh well.
