What is your perfect video game?

Just a simple question. I figured with all of the insanity revolving around the game industry right now, it would be nice to sit back and dream for a bit.

For me, a perfect game would be an open world MMO, but not an RPG (I'm just not a fan of any kind of questing system). This "open world", by the way, would have to be as large as Azeroth from World of Warcraft, but the developers don't hand you a map at the start of the game. Instead, you would have to make your own map, discovering the world as you went (similar to how 4x strategy games work). And, if you are to look at another player's map, you would find out that it is completely different from your own, since they started in an entirely different area. As for fast traveling, I'd say you would have to set up your own fast travel points. Have a base half way across the globe? Well, you better hope you set up a fast travel beacon, or else you'll have to take the long way back (yeah, some, if not most people may not like this, but I'd absolutely love it).

As for gameplay, I'd actually want something on the lines of Destiny. Feeling super OP is fun for a time, but it gets boring pretty quick. I want to feel strong, but I don't want to be able to just walk right through an entire army with barely a scratch. If I'm having to face a dozen enemies, I want them to feel like they're actually putting up a fight, and if I don't execute the fight right, by working around my cooldowns and equipment, and utilizing the world around me, I will get killed. Despite what you may think of Destiny, it does this exact thing VERY well.

For content, I think its obvious to say that I want enough that it will take me years to work through it all, kind of like Warframe or Path of Exile, just not as grindy. What I mean is that I want content that is similar to what a game like Destiny provides, but there is SOOOO much of it, that it rivals the years of content Warframe has. And, I don't want any kind of leveling system, where if you go back to a certain area, you can kill all of the mobs there with a flick of your finger. Again........kind of like Destiny (you see, if Destiny had just gotten some other things right..........).

For social and narrative aspects, I would actually turn to EVE Online. The game should be defined by it's players, and what they do to make their mark on the landscape of the game. Some of the absolute best stories you will ever find in the gaming industry will come out of the social interactions from the players of EVE Online, not the developers CCP. And what makes them even better is that these stories actually happened. They are not fiction, even if some may seem like they are, they are 100% true. Wars, espionage, betrayals, you name it, and I want my game to have exactly that. Have the developers lay down a good foundation with histories, backstories, and in game cultures, but let the players themselves write their own narrative.

Some of you might be asking "What about PvP?", and honestly......I could care less about that. I know, I know, I'm posting this on the boards of a pure PvP game, one that I've played for nearly 5 years now. Fact of the matter is is that I'm simply too competitive. If I'm not winning in a competitive environment, I'm not having fun. So, if a game comes out that is good enough to keep me entertained, but has no PvP whatsoever.......I'd be perfectly fine with that.....................or if it had PvP like EVE Online's, I'd be ok with that too.

So, if you read through all of this, thanks for taking the time! Now, tell me what your perfect game is, for I'm genuinely interested.

TL;DR

What's your perfect game?

The FF7 remake as long as they don't fuck it up. (Edit - and fix some of the smaller nitpick issues like evil houses as random enemy encounters, FROGS, and lack of visual indicators during movement and puzzles.)
