How long does it take to remove honor lock?

I had honor lv.3 but after going on a little loss streak I became really toxic in one of my game and rightfully got chat restricted. What I don't think was right was honor locking me. How long does it take to go away? I've heard that even once the lock goes away it takes months to get back to where you previously were.

It can vary greatly. How long it takes to unlock depends on if you continue to be toxic or borderline. It only unlocks after the system determines you have reformed.
