I'm curious as to if riot has plans to update the tutorial system.

So I've been trying to get a lot of friends into this game recently, and very few stay because its so difficult to get into. now that's a specific trait of this game that it's got an insanely high learning curve and strategy involved, but i feel like it could be much easier to stay otherwise.

Riot is taking a step in the right direction with runes reforged, giving newer players the ability to actually grind out champions and not runes, but that only solves a small part of the problem imo. people will start the game by going into the tutorial, and come out only knowing how to move, and cast abilities without learning about the settings that you can use to change your key bindings/cast type/etc. no new player knows what "kiting" means, and I often go into coop vs. ai games just to see people walk around just walking into enemies towers, and jungle camps, not being reminded that they hurt back.

now i know that there are MANY online resources to help out with gameplay mechanics, knowledge, or and strategy, but with a game as complex as league its very difficult to find much in one place, so why not teach as much as possible with the tutorial? Telling an Ashe to buy a Thornmail builds really bad habits that could be fixed really simply. even just giving links to decent build resources after tutorials could help.

That's my shpiel for now i guess, there's a lot more id love to discuss on this topic that ive forgotten, but i think ive made the point clear. help out some newbies so they know what to do before they get their first "%%%" in a real game. toodles :P
