A summery of EA in 2017

Messed up a Mass Effect game. Messed up Need for Speed. Messed up Star fudging Wars.

If they weren't making a billion dollars from their sports titles, their stock holders would probably be getting nervous right now. But seriously, how can you mess up both Mass Effect and Star Wars in the same year? Does EA hate outer space or science fiction for some reason? Considering they are pulling in money from their sports titles on a yearly basis, it's not like they need to rush half finished games out the door or destroy a niche but loved IP by watering it down with so much generic crap and micro transactions that it's fans don't like it anymore and the people who never liked it still aren't interested.

In other news: next years madden will have all players rated above 80 locked away in loot boxes. You can either pay $5 for a loot box or grind 1 hour per rating point of the player you want for your team.

I was about to ask how someone even manages to mess up Star Wars, and then I remembered.

Star Wars was messed up more by the loot boxes EA tried to force down gamer's throats.

EA might have had a decent game if they didn't make loot boxes necessary for progression.
