BE = Foreign currency ( #Riot comments? )

With the new BE system, we get a bit more BE than we used to get IP. This is great. No complaints anymore - except one. When they switched everything over to BE, everything that you used to be able to buy with IP disappeared (Runes and mystery shards being the biggest things). Got a lot, can't spend it on much of anything. And it doesn't have any value other than to possibly unlock a champion, or, once you have them all, upgrade your mastery with them. So the question is:

Is there any way we could get some things in the shop that are purchasable with BE aside from champions?

Some thoughts/suggestions:

  • Hextech key fragments - 50 BE
  • Hextech key OR chest - 500 BE
  • Hextech key AND chest - 975 BE
  • Orange essence (!) - 10 BE = 1 OE
  • Maybe even convert 1000 BE = 50 RP? (wishful thinking but hey, if you don't ask...)

I'm hoping Riot would seriously consider this. I've already got 4 M6's I'm working on and about 5 M5's to spend my BE on when I get the tokens, but making it easier to get the shards via random chance might make people more invested in the game? Might make the leveling reward seem a little more immediate?

Again, just thoughts/suggestions.

While I do want more thing to buy with BE, selling skins is not going to happen. Skins are the main source of profit for Riot, and giving out more free skins than they already do would drop RP sales by a large amount.

Edit: Also, looking at your theory numbers here, you could literally get infinite BE by buying chests and keys, disenchanting the skin shards, and converting OE into BE.
