I feel like top lane should become more of a choice to gank for junglers rather than a need.

So top lane has and will forever be in my mind as the island lane. Just two people fighting each other with whatever melee weapon they have(unless your ranged in which case fuck you) but lately I've noticed it feels like top lane must be ganked to win the game. The reason no one ganked top lane awhile back was because the lane seemed to have the least inpact on the game, hence why a majority of the player base liked it because you could just dick off and it was widely considered just a 1v1 lane since junglers had better things to do. And myself and many other top laners were perfectly fine with that because thats part of the reason we all mained the lane to begin with. But it feels like now the jungler is always coming to the lane to gank and it no longer feels like a true 1v1 lane. And that could be due to the fact that ganking junglers like nunu and willump, nocturn, and lee sin are all relativly strong now, whereas farming junglers like fiddlesticks and shyvana arent played as much because they dont provide any map pressure until they hit level 6(or at least not as much since I know ap nashors tooth shyvana is pretty strong atm)

And while I think that its part of the "problem" I do not feel its all on the jungle entirely like everyone in bronze claims when they lose a game. First off I think its just a problem with the lanes in general. I feel like all the other lanes in the game have more of a staple in the game, but because jungle is getting so much more love and all the super big tanks arent played a lot in soloq, it feels like candy for a jungler since most times when they come top it either results in a kill or flash(maybe even both) and if it goes to the jungler it can affect all the other lanes he visits because the champion will obviously be stronger with a kill and thats why I think jungle is in such a strong position now depending on who you're playing. However it is also an issue with top lane and for the blue side particularly. Simply put, the tri bush is too close to the lane and if passed through it, it makes a kill very easy to secure and gives the blue side top laner and blue side jungler, very little time to react or take action since it feels like the nearest blue side entrance to top is so far away from the actual lane. My simple solution is to put the tri bush further down so that blue side has more time to react to a gank. Not only that but it would also benefit the jungler since if you move it down its more in line to take krugs. Red side IMO seems fine, they have equal time to react to ganks because of the curve the lane takes near top side blue tower and the bush seems fairly far down, but you could move it a bit further down. I simply want jungle to have less of an impact on top lane and instead of it be a need it should be more a convenience to gank. Thats easily the best part of top, the 1v1 duels are the best part by far and I feel like jungle and bush and map control take that away. This is just my opinion though. Feel free to discuss.

It's more just a shift in meta. In previous seasons top lane was often tank vs tank matchups (sion, maokai, poppy, orrn), champions that had decent cc and were hard to kill, who in all honesty didn't really benefit very heavily from kills anyways. League is always about time and resource management, so it was far more efficient to gank for a mid lane or bot champion that could actually snowball and carry the game. But now the meta is Jax, Yorick, Darius, champions that become semi unstoppable at split pushing once they get ahead , thus ganking for them is a great time investment.

As for the 2nd part, It sounds like more of a wave management issue, if u feel uncomfortable on the side with the tri-bush then let the enemy push in early and work on freezing the lane in a favorable spot. It's a pain in the ass but by far the most effective solution, since early game wards are limited.

Tbh - to your larger paragraph, you say its because jungle is getting so much love that they’re now ganking top a lot

I think it may be the opposite. Riot tries to nerf all the 4fun and farm based champs and shove more Lee Sin down our throats, so everyone has to pick aggro jungles or else lose. I’m a bit upset how they changed Vi from a bruiser assassin into a tank-bruiser, losing out on dmg but making her dead easy to play by absolutely everyone, which i imagine will lead to nerfs eventually even tho she didnt gain in power, just got buffs to her skill requirement (from Low to Zero), which made her a meta champ who has to permagank to make use of her CC and more tankiness but lack of dueling and damage output, so top is an easy mark (usually lowest damage and most likely to overextend)

Every time I play top it seems like the lane gets decided by the jungler.
