They played one ranked game and ive since changed the password, will this prevent them from continuing to use my account? Also does anyone have any ideas how they gained access to my account, and to prevent it happening in the future?
There are many ways this could’ve occurred - the most common would be “phishing”. This is where someone creates a fake email or website that looks real, and you type in your account credentials to that site thinking it’s the real site. There are some very believable emails and websites - and it’s even possible to “spoof” the email to make it look like it came from an official email. Even if you’re unaware of this happening, it may be the case.
I cant say i ever remember ever using my lol account details in any third party sites, but what confuses me the most is that they seem to have played one ranked game and nothing else, i mean whats even the point?
