CALLING ALL FIGHTING GAME FANS

So I recently decided to pick up Street Fighter V recently and of course, as a newbie, I'm not very good at it. It's fine, it's how it goes. I did a little research and I discovered this game called Rising Thunder. In short, it's a fighting game that simplifies the mechanics of a traditional 2D fighter, was on a free to play model just like LOL, where the only thing you had to pay for were just cosmetics, and the coolest thing was you played a giant robots. HOW COULD I HAVE PASSED THIS HYPE UP?

Finding out about this, I was also quick to discover that the game doesn't exist anymore. The devs of this game were bought out by Riot and that was back in, I think, 2015. So what happened to the game now? Nothin. Not a single hint that the project could continue and I think Riot should revive this game. As for now, the league community is the only voice that Riot can listen to. I want the word spread about this so we can no longer joke about how Riot games only has one real game among all the mini games they've put out. And imagine this game being put out by EVO, making it another E-sports cash in for em. Hell, it doesn't even have to be the same exact idea, put in the champions if you want, I just wanna see a good, accessible, free to play fighting game.

what do y'all think?

Just because a game is more accessible doesn't make it good; in fact, the converse is more often true. A fighting game with simplified mechanics most likely lacks the depth that makes for a good fighting game. Look at SF5 vs USF4. Many people laud SF4 as the superior game due to the deep universal mechanics, as well as the slightly higher execution difficulty. While easier games definitely appeals to more low end players, the lack of a skill gap makes for a really really poor esport.

Its easy to pass up because all the characters are made out of metal apparently lol

But as far as fighting games go I've been playing Xenoverse 2 alot since I bought it last week and already beat the story over the weekend. I like the female majin race lol
