Doesn't Kindred seem like the type of character who should have an execution ultimate?

Like they're supposed to be literal death right? So shouldn't they have an ultimate that kills and not an ultimate that keeps enemies alive?

It would also be a good chance to make Wolf feel more important in her kit, by making it that he executes the target. Something like upon activation, Kindred places a special mark over an enemy champion. This mark lasts for up to 10 seconds. If an enemy falls below a certain HP threshold, 1 of 2 things happen.

If they are not in Kindred's Attack range upon hitting the threshold, Wolf chases the target, and upon reaching them, bites into them, killing them. But if they are in Kindred's attack range, Kindred fires a special arrow at the target, killing them. If the enemy doesn't fall below the HP threshold, the mark disappears, and Kindred must kill them using Basic attacks abilities.

What you're describing sounds almost exactly like her E . . .

so different than her E? also kindred as an entity represents both death (wolf) and life (lamb). Her E is wolf executing (it does damage based on how low you are, plus crits if your'e low enough), and her ultimate is universal saving.

Honestly, Kindred should get a kit update all over. None of their abilites really feel like they personify death in any aspect. Other than the full negation of death with their ultimate, but even then that's not very death-like.

There are a bunch of different ways to make Kindred's theme much more appealing while still maintaining the duality of death. As it is, the ultimate just crosses that line in an incorrect way.

Kindred won't work so long as we continue to rely on jungle for front line purposes.

This would actually have a nice chance to tie into her passive with marking champions.

If the Hunted Champion is under half health, Kindred gains vision of the target. If the target champion is under 20/30/40% health Kindred may activate this skill based on whether the champion is in combat with another champion.

In Combat: Enemy is put to sleep for 5 seconds and loses 2% (+0.5% per completed hunt) of his maximum HP per second as magic damage. While asleep, the target cannot take damage from any other source. (In other words, only the debuff can deal the damage.) Out of Combat: Wolf hunts down the target, dealing 7%(+1% per stack) of the target's maximum HP as Physical Damage. This damage is increased based on the distance Wolf travels. While Wolf is traveling, Kindred cannot use W or E.

The intent of the "in combat" is to represent that the target is not attempting to flee from death, however I suppose it could be read either way. I'm going more for the idea than the actual numbers, so apologies if they seem strong or weak.

Also this pretty much sounds like Urgot's ulti with different particles.

I think Kindred has a lot of problems, but it's not their ulti. The whole hunting system is broken, because organized teams (aka- LCS) can abuse it when they are remotely viable. And when they aren't at that level of viable, they are completely terrible for solo queue because too much risk and not enough reward out of it.

You basically want to change her ult into Urgots ult, but more powerful. Guaranteed kill on range, but point&click instead of a skillshot and longer duration (10 seconds).

So, no, please don't do that.

Her ult had to be utility because her passive is very feast or famine. If she had an offensive ultimate she'd be a champ who either stomps super hard or turns into a complete deadweight for her team.

i don't like kindred's lore at all. Death should be something intimidating, not some goat thing that I could kill with my bare hands

BobaFlautist2/14/2018, 5:36:42 PM1 votes

Just swap Kindred and Quinn's kits and tweak all the abilities.

doesn't kindred sound like the kind of champion that should at least have a coherent kit that allows her to function in a way that isn't detrimental to the 9 other poor souls stuck in the same game as them
