Why does Riot advertise skins with drop-dead idiotic balance decisions?

Why can't they instead make some cool little insight clip like they did with dragon donger, why did kha'zix need to be buffed in order to try and appeal his one skin to the publicity? That's not how you advertise your product. On the opposite, this is how you go battlefront II on your own ass.

Seriously, I already know a generous majority thinks the same that Kha'zix DID NOT need those buffs at all.

Skins are fashion, so they should be adertised as fashion. Balance has nothing to do with the outer ethical design. Making an already metrically assfuck amounts of a hated hated champion become justifiably hated just so you can flash that cashgrab is only pissing us off.

His buffs aren't that huge. He got a 0.2 BONUS AD damage increase on his passive. .. Even if we assume he gets an average of 50 AD on 5 of his 6 item slots, leaving one for boots, .. that is 250 bonus AD .. That is only an increase of 50 damage on his passive.

Otherwise, what .. his evolved W got buffed? .. Usually the last ability to get evolved, IF it even gets evolved.

As far as the general concept, .. buffing champions that get skins/chromas is a business decision. Don't forget that they are running a business and their end goal is to make a profit. That doesn't make them bad people. It's great that they make money off of providing us with entertainment, but they can only continue to do so if they continue to make money.

As for this specific situation, .. they are taking a huge risk by having invested a lot of work into creating these chromas. There is a good chance that some of them will get very few sales. By increasing the viability of the champion, they are increasing the odds of someone wanting to play the champion and pick up a skin to go with it.

It is naive to overlook the idea that champions that are overtuned get played more often. Players who are successful with a champion are far more likely to invest money in skins.

How come you don't point out all their other changes? Why not complain they showcased a new Kai'sa, Ahri, and Evelynn skins, while all of those champions also got nerfs before their skin launched? Why not point out the vast majority of skins with no positive or negative changes for the champion before or after getting a skin?

How come it's always "Riot is greedy and buffing champions so their skin sells more" even though that's factually wrong?
