As a man I can confirm I have so many connections I basically know all of the world.
As a female I will lie about having grown up as a princess with everything handed to me for free, and getting treated to dinner by boys, never having to pay myself. But now suddenly I am expected to actually proof my worth by showing that I can perform well enough for my job like wtf, male oppression!!! How come I don't get anything for free anymore, sorry but I call out male oppression when I am forced to perform equivalently to a male!

I, as a woman, have not had the same access that my male peers have had. Prior to getting a job in the industry, I didn't have any connections or anyone relevant to give me feedback on my resume.
That's you not having connections to the industry. You think men get them out of thin air? They build it up over time. They WORK for their connections. They aren't as delusional as you to think they should get it for doing nothing at all. If you don't have connections to the industry that is YOUR fault, wether you're male or female.
I was offput by booth babes at conventions. The gaming industry was clearly not built with people like me in mind.
As someone that loves playing games: You're too fucking sensitive. There could be a booth with 2 gay supermodels kissing each other, I wouldn't fucking care. Who the hell am I to judge them?
Even since joining the gaming industry, I don't have the same access as men do because mentors tend to seek out people who are more like them, and there are many many more men in a position to mentor younger folks than women and nonbinary people.
Can we cut the feminazi crap and get to the point? This entire paragraph is anecdotal and holds no value at all. If I give up on the first sign of a negative outcome I won't get a mentor, period. Fight for your rights yourself, don't make the fucking industry change just to pamper you.
