Trust me, walking in it is even worse.
No wind at the time, so that mitigated some of it. But after 30 minutes of walking in said cold, my thighs felt partially frozen in spots. Upon sitting inside, my legs felt like they were suddenly incapacitated for a few minutes. In the 20 minutes afterwards, they felt like they were thawing and that took the pain factor from a 3 to a 7. It was like searing hot blades in my legs, and I couldn't alleviate the pain at all.
