With the new changes on Garen I tested on PBE, here is something came up I'd wanna discuss about
I tested his new changes on PBE and I am actually more surprised to say the least, not because of the changes but because of the "more" playstyles that Garen users could use instead of building a routine tank on him and being a walking defensive juggernaunt.
From my point of view, I think It's pretty fun and fair to actually give the juggernaunts more playstyles, for a great benefits ofcourse.
- They won't be always forced to be played as meaty tanks who are hard to kill late game, they will have options to choose, whether to be more of carries or more of tanks.
With the changes on Garen and how cool of extra playstyles Garen now has, he can literally benefit from all sort of builds on Ad champions.
That explains how we can build him attack speed, or lethality, or ad, or crits, or tanking items in general, and that's the beauty of it because he'll be a much easier target to kill in game right now with all of the options to play him.
Examples of builds that can work on Garen:
so many options right? well ya that's the main point and that's exactly why I think the changes to Garen are great. There will be many more times when he is much squishier now, because these changes are ecnouraging the people to build attack speed, crits with ad or lethality more than defensive actually.
as for him, I think he should get the same changes, maybe make his Q multiple spins that scales with the attack speed and rework it, that way he doesn't have to be forced to play into a defensive machine, he can open more plays for attack speed, crits and more ad instead.
Maybe make his Q able to crit as well, just like Garen. We all know that the changes on him will also encourage so many Darius users to go more damage on him than defensive, which would make him an easier target to kill in most games, while keeping his defensive mechanic/build all same without a change.
It'll open more plays, and it'll be overall much more to play different builds.
