Something we don't talk about... Riot merch
Firstly, there really isn't enough of it. There are 143 champions in the game, but fewer than half have available merch. You a big fan of Skarner, Aurelion Sol, or even Zyra? Tough shit. Make your own shirt.
Second would be that it's not always quality stuff. I've got a series 2 Poppy with far thicker black around the eyes than on either the website or the box, making her look like a raccoon. And the Gnar plushy is just plain awful. One of the most striking features about Gnar is his eyes, and instead of opting for a plastic ones to show them off, they went with something similar to a sewn-on patch. It just doesn't look good. Nevermind the badly chosen shape.
Then there's the price. Everything costs 1.5 to 2 times as much as would be reasonable.
