So Matchmaking isn't gonna be fixed until 2019? Even in ranked?

It's not just unluck. I hear many of my friends playing ranked. its matchmaking is so messed up, more than usual.

I just checked a game of a friend's of mine. And again, he had one element in team that was completely out of his elo. A Silver 1 in a High Gold-platinum game....again! U might say, and u would probably be super right, that it's the mmr that counts. Ok, but i looked all the team's mmrs, and while all players were placed between 1700-1850, the Silver in question had a mmr of 1465!!! I mean it's so far away!

So, we still have to believe the system isn't just making the climbing harder? It's not right for the silver 1, in promo for gold 5, cos he has to beat players at a higher (and a lot) level. It's not fair for the others, cos "the worst player makes the game, not the best". And usually, Silvers has less mechanics and macros than an high Gold or Platinum, it's just why they are there.

There is no mmr balance between teams either. one team was at a 1704 medium mmr, the other almost 1800.

Riot pls fix this matchmaking, normals are already a random mmr fiesta, but in ranked it's just unfair for everybody.

Did u guys have the same experience?

This game has the worst matchmaking out of any game i have ever played in my life.

matchmaking has been made wonky for faster queues gameplay has been made wonky for faster games riot catering to ADHD kids

Also, normals MMR is completely separate from ranked mmr, but online mmr calculators only calculate ranked mmr. So the mmr you see is not the mmr they have in normals.

That's not an issues of matchmaking but in the visibility of MMR. In ranked, players see "Plat 5" and freak out without realizing that because of how MMR works, that platinum player has the rating of a mid to low gold player while the players having a panic attack hav similar MMR, being silver1-2 but with Gold 5-3 MMR because of a win streak or consistent wins.

A lot of losses are caused by players seeing a Plat then immediately giving up mentally because "I can't win this" when that player could very well be hella boosted or 90° tilted

online MMR calculators don't accurately display current mmr. rank and frequency with specific champions greatly impact what those mmr calculators show which make them inaccurate. So, a silver player with high mmr will show as lower than gold/plat mmrs simply because the online calculator is bad. Also, it was likely a duo anyways, people who queue as a duo usually get put in harder matches since the coordination of those players is factored into the matchmaking system.
