If Corki is hit by a stun or cc, he can run away with W and spend his cc duration during his W, essentially making the CC useless.
Should the player who land their cc be rewarded for landing it? Should dashes completely deny CC?
IMO, dashes should not be a free escape tool everytime, or an engaging tool. If you get hit by CC, then you better pay for it.

it interrupts them if they are in progress, but if they begin after being hooked they activate and take priority

Its not like that. Tristana cant jump away if she uses W after she is hit by Blitz hook. THere is extremely small window where Tristana can initiate jump just before getting hit. Only then can she escape. Since her jump has small cast time.

This is something extremely hard to pull out if u are playing on higher ping. And it requires perfect timing.
Dashes don't deny cc, channels do.

yea, they should deny cc
funny tho, some forms of cc can cancel dashes tho, so
it's up to the person who is cc'ing to actually use their brain
