If I've been demoted to lvl 1 honor (from lvl 3) due to a 10-game chat restriction (no flame please, I've learned my lesson), does anybody know how long it will take and if it is even possible to gain honor back up to lvl 2 and lvl 3?

No one really knows how the points are distributed, but given it took me around 100 games to reach lv3 I'd assume that or less as long as you aren't toxic. Basically if you're reported and Riot considers it authentic it takes away points, chat restriction drops you a tier, ban drops you two tiers. Though they might've changed that if you dropped 2 tiers? Basically be neutral or nice and you always get points, getting honors or having all your teammates use their honor gives you bonus points. I'd get a bonus in about half of my games so assuming honors never happened (unrealistic) it might take up to 200 games to climb a tier.
