"Why bother playing a game where you will lose sometimes?" I don't know, that's a question for you. Most people think it's because it can also be fun and that you win those other times.

Learning to play from behind and play the lane and whatnot. The game's a lost cause at that point unless you're fed as fuck and the right combo of champions in botlane, but there's still valuable experience to pick up.

That, and if it's a ranked game there's still at least a slight chance you might win, so there's no point in surrendering in a mode where you're meant to win, rather than just have fun.
