Sooo...who to buy first?

I just turned Level 10 after playing Co-Op vs. A.I. a lot and I now have 11,005 BE.

....soooo...who should I buy? Any suggestions? The only champion I own is MissFortune and that was from after finishing the tutorial.

If you're only level 10, I'd actually suggest something very different from other people. Literally buy whichever champion looks coolest to you. You have so much to learn that trying to decide on which champion fits your current playstyle is a bit futile. You 'think' you know your playstyle but trust me, the more you learn and progress in knowledge the more it'll change so trying to 'nail down a playstyle and buy a champion for that' right now is too early. Realistically you won't have to do that until maybe at the earliest level 20 to 25 onwards. Besides, eventually you'll have all the champions anyway.

I started off loving AD melee duelists/bruisers. Now I almost exclusively play enchanter/control mage supports which is arguably the direct opposite to what I started off with.

My only real blunt recommendation would be to avoid certain champions like Sylas, Fiora, Azir, Zoe etc as these champions are either far more mechanically demanding or require far more general game knowledge than normal champions to perform at their potential.

If you just reached level 10, then you may not have noticed your Loot tab. Perhaps you have a couple of Champion permanents by now, inside of unopened capsules.

Ok so if you enjoy play aggressive top laners then champions like Renekton would be good for you. However, if you literally do not care and wanna just FIGHT ALL THE TIME even when you're gonna die. Then play Kled, hes the epitome of an aggressive character. Plus he's fun. However he does have an auto attack enhancer for his W which you said you weren't a fan of, but they only come up every 12 seconds.

What's your playstyle in games? Find that then pick a champion that can fit that role.

I like defensive or supportive characters in games.. my first few were Akali, sona, soraka, janna. Now my favorite is neeko! I like neeko because I can play burst aoe, the onhit build, movement, or defense build... My favorite atm is defense support and being as confusing or annoying as possible so the enemy ignores my adc.

thefatlazycat4/3/2019, 2:26:55 PM2 votes

I'd recommend looking at the champions on free rotation or buying someone on a whim, you've got a few refunds for if you really don't like a playstyle, but up until then just experiment

Based on your summoner name, Hecarim. That, or a summoner name change.

Try to find at least 2 supports you like playing in case you end up in the role. Soraka and Janna are both easy to play and cheap if you don't like the role. For jungle I suggest Jarvan. He's first pickable, can go assassin, bruiser, or tank, and his ult works for both initiation and protecting the carry.

If you liked playing an adc I found Caitlyn and Sivir to both be relatively cheap and easy to understand champs when I started

Just pick whatever you think seems cool, and to be honest you dont need to be good at farming as much as just like it to play the champs that are gold hungry as you´ll learn to farm playing them.

If wanting to farm less you can instead look to jungle, lasthitting is really not a thing there and you just need to pick something that is newbie friendly in terms of clears.

Vi, xin zhao, warwick and hecarim should all be fairly good in this regard, just avoid the raptor camps early to be sure, and as a added bonus all of them are pretty good early on into the game as well.

Dont buy katarina :) she is mine

MissFortune is the only champ you need, you are on the pinnacle of League of Legends already if you play MF.

Play her with Press the Atack and item 3153 as first item.

Yordle Xayah4/3/2019, 8:59:58 PM1 votes

I got to 30 playing almost nothing but Lux. The way I started picking up new characters was playing against people, and then thinking "Oh, that character looks really cool/strong. I'd like to try that out in my next game"

Garen is always a good recommendation for newbie Top Laners: https://youtu.be/i2A7GhNi0wE

It teaches you some basics about trading and skill usage for farm and he has no mana.

You can also play ARAM and give champs you don't know a go. I never thought I'd ever like playing Zoe, but I got her on ARAM and became one of my favorite characters to play both Mid and Bot... ᴬˡˢᵒ ʰᵉʳ ᵂ ᶦˢ ˢᵘᵖᵉʳ ᵇᵘˢᵗᵉᵈ

Good luck! Tristana

For support, I would recommend thresh. He has a quite a learning curve but his kit rewards you for making good aggressive plays. Maybe try blitzcrank first for a less skill orientated but similar kit. That will help you if you like the hook kind of champs.

3TWarrior4/4/2019, 2:35:20 AM1 votes

based on your description of "aggressive' characters, you will probably like juggernauts. Assassins are a decent choice as well, constantly on the lookout for a make-or-break play

overall though, what champions can play aggressive really varies by your personal preference for it. As others have mentioned, try to save up blue essence for champions that you like after trying them out on the free rotation

Since you like MissFortune , there are quite a few champions that can pull off large-area burst damage, but not many that can match her flair

Try DrMundo and Swain , though swain might be a bit much to pick up out of the blue

#RULE OF THUMB: TRY THINGS OUT BEFORE BUYING THEM UNLESS YOU CAN'T HELP YOURSELF AND IF THAT'S THE CASE, TRY TO GO WITH CHEAPER CHAMPIONS

Farm With Jayce4/4/2019, 3:03:44 PM1 votes

Im a Diamond Jayce one trick, and I will say he is really fun to play, but extremely hard to master. I have over 8k games on him and I still mess up in a majority of my games. If you make even the slightest of mistakes with him, then you're gonna be behind hard as hell compared to a Bruiser/Tank which will always be useful.

If you're wanting an aggro top laner, id recommend Kennen, Panth, Jayce, Gnar, Rumble and Teemo. These are the best champions for being aggro in the top lane.

Sona Ping4/3/2019, 1:15:24 PM1 votes

The only champion I own is and that was from after finishing the tutorial.

You should be able to unlock and own a few more, with the Hextech Crafting system on the top of your found through the chest icon and you can earn some more from missions at the bottom of the client under the scroll icon.

Outside of those which you should have, I recommend trying out different champions through the Free Rotation. That way you can get hands on experience with champions and see if you their kits to be enjoyable for you.

ZaFishbone4/4/2019, 7:44:53 AM1 votes

You REALLY need to stop playing co-op and start playing vs other ppl. Gameplay changes significantly when you do so, and that could easily change your opinion regarding what champ you want to play. Maybe you like safety, and so you enjoy playing tanks and bruisers. Maybe you are aggressive and like playing assassins or mages. You won't really know that until you play against real ppl.

Yasuo Riven Darius for top Ezreal Jhin Varus for markman

Vlada Cut4/4/2019, 2:59:53 PM1 votes

Top: Garen/Darius Mid: Lux Jingle: MasterYi/XinZhao
Adc: MissFortune which you already own /Sivir (don't do Ashe she's useless garbage and no one plays her unless they are trolling) Support: Morgana So easy and op, you can take her mid bit make sure you take item 1056 when going mid.

Néékö4/3/2019, 3:20:43 PM1 votes

I'm thinking many Jayce might be close too that.. Toplane marksman. He can do a few different builds and I've seen him Top, adc, mid occasionally. Thefatlazycat has a slightly better idea if you wanna save your points and test out champions with the rotation... it does take some time waiting on ones you wanna try.

Naalith4/3/2019, 3:54:28 PM1 votes

Play whoever looks cool to you, that's how I got into the game. If you like to be extremely aggressive and play top, Garen and Kled could be good options. Garen is like the classic new player champion, and for good reason. Kled takes a little getting used to but he has two dashes to get in, an extremely aggressive kit and ultimate, and a refreshing health bar to reward aggressive plays. He's pretty easy compared to many champions but is still fun, I play him a ton. But those are just suggestions based on what you say you like, just do what looks fun to you.
