I'm perfectly fine with a women's only room.

But why isn't there a men's room?

Furthermore, why couldn't people attend the opposite sex's (faction's, maybe? What is this, BfA?) event? Imagine all the straight couples that flew out to attend THIS event only to be told there that one of them wasn't allowed in until well into the afternoon and they specifically spent their vacation days to be together the whole day there.

Or did they really expect their male audience (A.K.A. the majority of the audience that plays League of Legends) to sit outside patiently until 2:30, not to mention their female audience members leaving their male friends/lovers/relatives to go attend it. How in the world did their discussion go at the board that scheduled this event?

This whole thing boggles my mind daily.

It's just a mentality that we must treat some groups as above others in some regards. Usually this is done when we view one group of people as marginalized in some striation of our society.

Not as many women working in the gaming industry as men? Clearly sexism. This is troublesome to me since it's on a 'just by total' not 'by applicants.' I haven't seen any research showing that 'Even though 20% of workers in gaming are women, only 10% of applicants to jobs in gaming are women.' In this case, women are over represented in the industry since the workers aren't representing the interest meaning you're more likely to get hired if you're a gal. I don't know if this is the case, just a potential caveat.

Without knowing who is or is not getting turned away, it's hard to know whether they're actually over or under represented. If not as many women are interested in gaming development, it would make sense the field is represented largely by that group that is interested in the field.

There will never be a men's or whites only anything because the media/left is convinced that that would be inherently wrong.

It is only acceptable for everyone else to be in supremacist / hate fueled groups / and the few legitimate ones
