Ranked MMR for Lower Elo's :(

Dear Riot,

I am a "high" silver player. I have 50-60 days of play time over the course of almost 6 years. I am Silver. AGAIN. I know all about macro play but my mechanics aren't great. I am easily a Plat level support and at least Gold level jg, and according to Mobalytics my vision scores are that of high diamond elo. No matter how well i support my Silver adc or how fed i manage to get a burst mage or how much vision i have on the map i keep maintaining a 50-58% winrate and not climbing due to my winrate in series. In season 6 i failed G5 series 5 times. In season 7 i failed 2-3 times. Right now im climbing back up to S1 after being placed in S5 after a 7-3 placements.

THIS IS THE CHANGE I WANT!

For DUO/Solo Ranked players need to be at least lvl 40. The changes in season 6 and 7 made getting EXP so much easier than it used to be. You can go from lvl 1 - 30 in one month easily. These one month old players should not be matched with silvers, should not be allowed to play with people who are already placed and should not be allowed to do anything but Norms, ARAM, and Ranked flex. These 1 month players usually have no idea what expensive champs do because they probably only own about 15-20. They do not know when to push, when and where to ward, when to baron, what to do with baron, or how to change their builds by looking at the other team. I have a friend that i help a lot that is lvl 32 already after less than 2 months and he has no clue what 50 of the champions do. He gets dumpstered in teamfights because of his general game knowledge. For example: players like him do not know what to do in situations where one person on the other team is splitting and 4 of the other team is mid. If its 5v4 mid in your favor and the splitter is not near your base you should force a fight if your team has ult RIGHT?! These players tend to be the guys that go back to their lanes over and over instead of grouping or going in without ults/sums or just not even following up and really good engages! This is very annoying for players like me and i feel like there is a lot of us. So please make solo/duo ranked hard to get to. Us older hard stuck players do not deserve this.

I don't agree with your points. Luck has a hand in ranked play, but only to a limited extent. If you are a plat level support you will eventually get there. I've gotten to Diamond in the past 3 seasons, and in season 2/3 I had a really hard time in Silver. I suggest you take an objective view of your gameplay and try to improve your weakest area. If you truly believe you belong in plat, try the mute all feature in games and communicate using pings to lead your team to victory. This game has a social aspect to it and if you want to climb thats something you will have to master as well. I generally ping quite a bit more in lower elo games to warn and suggest plays for my team. I believe in you man, you can get out of silver like many of us seasoned players have. Keep trying, keep your chin up.
