Hey guys who reading this topic here. I was wondering why? Does Thresh need more resistances in generally against Janna? Thresh has his kit armor/ap scaling. But I don't know why though. It's like when they are in the lane. They're not really fighting each-other but Janna may be range poke Thresh. But why does Thresh really need that much resistance, In a case of his main objective, is going in ADC ward the map, Janna objective is to shield and heal the ADC, ward the map to catch people off guard. Please leave a comment thanks.

Thresh builds tank items and Janna is more of a glass cannon (with support items like Ardent and Redemption). Not to mention Thresh doesn't get armour per level and relies on his passive (which in turn makes him a lot more vulnerable to ADCs early game).

Bevause their niche is different. While they're both support, Janna is an enchanter, she tends to stay in the back, hidden behind the tanks, out of AA range and overall out of focus. Thresh though, he's a tanky support, he's made to engage, go out there in the middle of the enemy team, prone to actually get attacked. He needs more resistances to stay alive and do his job than Janna does.

When going Ap support Janna does that make you rely on your ADC only for get kills or doing it for doing more damage? Cause the spells don't really do much damage.
