i'm glad i can't just buy these "hextech exclusive" skins
that'd be too consumer-friendly wouldn't it, gotta rake in those shekels don't you merrill
gotta milk me like a sturdy bull with tekdek scams

"$500 to $700 is an appropriate price for loot exclusive skins, but we aren't greedy or anything" - Riot Games.

I currently have 15 gemstones
I am waiting for them to actually make a skin I want before I use any of them.
Fun fact: These skins arent meant for some sort of 500$ Investment. They are supposed to be something you get from gemstones, over a long time. And are meant as a large status symbol. Like a rare mount in an MMO. Not impossible but rarer.
I mean if you want to spend 500$ go right ahead. But thats on you.
Loot boxes are the scourge of gaming.
I think OW's are particularly disgusting as well. "Hey you know that epic legendary skin you want for Halloween? Yeah it's 3k. Also duplicates net you only 1/6th of the gold income. Have fun." Granted, they changed it but I feel like it's in response to OW's waning popularity.
The only reason I like Soulstealer Vayne is because she's like a Night Elf Hunter.
Honestly, I'm just thankful I prefer their other skins.
Arcade, Elderwood
Panda
Default
Arclight
I have all 3 hex skins. let the hate flow [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
I got hextech annie 3 weeks after release from a chest. I almost pooed myself
It been about year now, I really don't care about skins anymore. http://www.auplod.com/u/plaoud91db7.png
I think Riot just wanted some skins to be luck-based rather than open to everyone, which is pretty interesting when you think about it. They just didn't anticipate people to pay $500+ upfront, turning them into "rich kid skins".
I much prefer Dreadnova Gangplank over Dreadnova Darius. I much like Lord Darius than Dreadnova Darius.
I love Panda Annie over Hectech Annie; I also love Goth Annie... But it's a legacy skin.
I love all of Vayne's skins the same.
I much prefer My Little Pony Hecarim (Arcade) over Lancer Zero... However, it doesn't look half bad.
Well the skins wouldn't be special if they were easy to obtain.
I don't understand I have never gotten a gemstone outside from the Lunar Revel event this year, I've been playing consistently since hextech release and still 0 gemstones lol.
the only hextech skin thats come out so far thats actually good is hextech annie fromt that point on they just got lower and lower quality like the new hecarim one doesnt even have a recall animation (from what i can tell)
Well with the new missions there is a high chance of getting one of the hextech exclusive skins by simply finishing these quests.
Which skin are you trying to get? I got the annie one on my main account by sheer luck. I'm more angry that I have ZERO way of getting oni genji on ow.

I like these skins because they are so rare, like the super old skins when the game launched that no one has, but everyone has an actual chance to get. I got Hextech Annie through a random chest, I don't play her but it's cool to have.
It's not greedy IMO, if you are legitimately trying to farm these skins that's a personal problem
Had 3 of those purple rock things I was saving up to get hextech annie. Gave up after I got a project ashe shard that was a whole lot more realistic to get.
:/
anyone remembers when 99% of skins were only avaiable by buying them with money and you could go 10 games without seeing a skin? peperidge farms remembers.
I got Soulstealer Vayne from a random chest. Debated recycling it for essence and recording a video, but I didn't feel like putting in the effort. http://i.imgur.com/xKaleN5.jpg
They aren't even good tho
