Just my opinion, but the new VFXs is generic and look the same as Kennen.
Blitzcrank is unique and iconic on its own. His ult's passive must now be activated by auto-attacking instead of RNG. Can be really annoying against champions like Teemo or Jax.
Maybe that's just me being an old %%% and not getting used to its new stuff but Blitzcrank was perfect on its own.
What are your thoughts on the updated Blitzcrank? 
New Blitzcrank doesn't feel "electric" and old-timey anymore. Effects look like they came out of another generic Marvel fight scene.
Blitzcrank's effects weren't unique though. They were exactly the same outdated lightning as Kennen's were just a few months ago. That lightning effect just doesn't mesh well with the game's modern look. I for one love that it's the color of actual lightning instead of that dark blue.
As for fighting Teemo or Jax... that usually doesn't happen. And it's still far better to be able to control who it targets after the dodge/blind than it is to hope maybe it'll hit an enemy champion.
