What was really wrong with One Punch Man s2

There wasn't enough Sonic. I fear I may be the only person who cares but I love his persistence and evil smile. We don't really have any idea how he trains. Why doesnt he fight powerful heroes and/or monsters?

He thought he was much superior too puri puri back in season 1 but trained a lot since apparently. He took no hits from Genos in an extended fight season 2, so the only heroes who can beat him must be Saitama and possibly Tornado. Genos planned too blow him up but Sonic could just outrun the blast so he would only wreck his street.

I thought the side-hop scene was perfect, though admittedly I haven't seen all of season 2. Sonic is interesting, but only because he's like a serious foil to the career heroes, who are basically all ridiculous.

There's only so many ways you can just draw Saitama solving his problems with overwhelming power-- the most interesting interactions, and defeats, are situations in which he cannot simply punch his way out. I think that's the most interesting part of the show-- and it's not like season 2 isn't doing that, he had to fight in disguise in the tournament, which got resolved without mass rejection by the populace, but that's the Saitama I want to see.

He fights some, but he mostly just wants to beat Saitama right now and has a massively inflated view of himself.

Remember that he also did nothing to the Deep Sea King unlike Puri. We have no idea if he is actually stronger than Puri since the only info we have is from the extremely biased source of Sonic himself.

A lot of S heroes could beat him; frankly probably all of them could. Sonic's win condition is mostly just "being super fast and then hitting them", so against anything that can take a hit, hit him, or is faster than him he just loses.
