The key to finding a good midlaner is knowing what is most important for midlane. Factor in wave control, roam potential, and overall safety. In my opinion for a midlaner nothing is more important than waveclear potential. Mid lane is the shorted lane, minions arrive sooner than other lanes so there is always more pressure on midlane turret. Being directly in the middle of the map, you are surrounded by more potential threats than other lanes but also have the most potential to roam to other lanes. For this you want a champion that is either "safe" (reliable CC, stealth, invulnerability) or mobile (dashes, movespeed steroids). With that in mind here are the champions I'd reccomend picking up so that you're always an asset to your team:
