I feel like a part of being a jungler is also needing to be vocal.

Right now we play a game where the games are largely impacted by junglers. Since some camps are about as much xp as a minion wave and junglers that take camps super fast like Urgot and Karthus exist. Junglers can get ahead very easily, plus the ganking. This makes them arguably the most IMPACTFUL role in the entire game, however, some ahem ADC's may tell you differently. But that argument is for another time, point is, even if junglers arent super impactful, as a jungler or jungle main you need to learn to be vocal. Now for some junglers like myself this isnt a massive problem. And being vocal doesnt seem to be an issue for other positions such as mid laners or supports(sometimes they're a little too vocal). But as a jungler, you literally are considered a second support by some, you help out lanes. ANd any time I wanna go mid lane, or any other position, I always have that fear that my jungler will not ping, speak, or communicate in any way, shape, or form. I'm not saying you have to talk CONSTANTLY or PING CONSTANTLY and communicate every tiny step the enemy takes but how about stuff like "hey ward river bush at 1:20 please" or ping them on your way JUST ONCE you don't have to spam ping it. If you wanna be a better jungler or wanna play jungle you have to learn to communicate and even shot call.

It's pretty true. Supports and junglers actually share a lot of the same responsibilities. And they should both be the primary information gatherers for the team-- in an ideal setting.

In solo queue it's a bit harder for the jungle to communicate things like where the enemy jungler is as efficiently. Plus not all players will even be watching chat. As for ganks, it's both on the laner to be paying attention to where their jungler is and on the jungler to make it clear they want to engage.

I feel a lot of players spam ping because it's more noticeable and likely to catch their teammates attention than a single ping is. This isn't a jungler unique thing.

What about top lane? They need have similar responsibilities, roaming to other lanes with TP ganks. But they also have to work with an active lane. They cant afford tk be away for long since it would put the tower at a risk, the most a jungler could realistically lose is a buff.
