Describe "Balanced" and what it means to you
I think everyones definition of champion balance is different, league is typically divided because of the bias that practically every player has for their own main positions and their rank.
My definition of balanced: a champion is _viable _ for all ranks and divisions. Viable means they can compete with other champions well based on their role. Their builds are versatile- they can hurt if they build damage, they can sustain if they build sustain, heal if they should heal, and you get the idea. However, balanced also means they have FAIR counterplay, 50/50. I don't think a champ should ever completely be able to make another champ insignificant. In other words, League shouldn't be Paper>Rock>Scissors>Paper>Rock>...Infinity.
Let me use this typical example
ADCs can completely negate immobile melee champions(IMCs for short) and some immobile tanks(Imb tanks). But! If you buff IMCs and Imb Tanks, ADCs become utterly useless. Tanks and melee champs should not be able to completely negate mages. You get the idea, and just because I didn't state the other champion types doesn't mean they don't go through the same basic thing (either you can kill them or you can't because of some inherent disadvantage or advantage whether It be damage range, CD, etc.)
My question for you guys is HOW would you resolve this if you were in control of the game balance? Would you add more melee/range specific items, would you tweak them and how? Would you tweak each champion specifically so they have outplay potential for BOTH sides and how?
Let me know what you guys think on this issue, I'm very curious on the different opinions and educated guesses of different rank players.
Also, state your rank before you give your point! Please note that I don't weigh your opinion based on ranked, I think EVERY players statements are worth the same regardless if youre unranked or challenger!
Peace, and remember this is all my opinion. In no way do I think I know it all, it's just how I
view the state of the game!
