Research. And when I say research I mean research what the current meta is. Research what are the strong picks. Research the different comps. Just research please. And if you decide to pick one of the stronger picks, please understand why they are strong and how to use them. I'm really irritated trying to make that last jump from S2 to G5 and constantly dealing with people who don't understand rotations or what to even do in 3s for that matter.

Or the most tilting thing...the ones who jump into ranked 3s while never playing a normals and then asking why we have no trinkets to lay down.

Who gives a fuck unless you're playing in Plat+ Elo. Most you really need to know for the common player is itemization changes and how the map works. TT isn't that insane that they need to know what the meta dominant champs are. You're playing. In silver an gold with bad players. Who they are gonna pick isn't gonna change that.

Yeah I tried TTL and I got rolled by towerdive comps the first few games because I was playing my comfort picks (soraka and other mages / squishies) and i got bodied so hard..guess I have to face roll with dark harvest garen if I want that gold [cass-cry]

What I did last year was played a few normal games (maybe 5?) of TT to get a feel for it, then decided I'd just play all my TT games on Xerath since I'd been spamming him all season. Ended up getting Gold 3 right off the bat.
