Tiers in Ranked.

I dont remember if i saw that you could only duo with someone 1 tier apart from you in ranked. i might be thinking of Overwatch or something...... i digress.

There should NEVER be more than a 1 tier gap in any game of ranked, how is it fair that my team can have a silver 1 meanwhile the enemy can bring in a Plat3 into the same match? that or why should my team consist of a Plat and a silver? on one hand the plat can possibly carry but the problem is 1) i aint looking to get carried, i play ranked to show my skill, and 2) the Silver will just bring down the chances of winning if they are playing with silver mechanics.

make games have a 3 division max. What do i mean? (Gold IV to II) can be in the same game. but (Gold IV to I) cannot. you wanna play with Gold I people? then rank up to Gold III. and so on. this might extend queue times, so i wouldnt know if it would be worth.

Thoughts?

Remember that the actual determination of your current skill is your hidden MMR and not your visible Ranked Tier. The ranked tier represents your current place in the Ranked system, and the MMR represents the system's current estimate of your skill.

If you get a string of bad luck and drop several divisions, for example, your MMR won't adjust as much as your tier, letting you climb back sooner. Conversely, your MMR won't follow a massive win streak as much, preventing players from rising too high too quickly.

As such, the system uses MMR to make game, not ranked tier. This means you're unlikely to get that Bronze player on a lucky streak in your Gold game, and unlikely to get that Platinum player on a losing streak in your Silver game. If you DO get a player significantly above or below your current tier, it's likely because you guys are at about the same skill level, and one of your tiers may just not have properly caught up with your MMR.
