to those arguing about dates...

it has nothing to do with the way it's spoken nor is it merely a rebellious preference. it's month day year because months only go up to 12, days go up to 30 or 31 (with the exception of february) and years are infinite (until the world dies). the US does month day year because it works better on industrial machinery, stamps, etc. with interchangeable parts. clocks specifically. same reason why hours come first instead of minutes or seconds.
