Changing runes is a struggle.

So I went mid / top, got top in lobby, was changing runes and summoner spells. Someone dodges, get a game immediately and accept cause why not? get autofilled support, change my runes to be Morgana, but I'm last pick so their support picks Morgana right before me, making me go blitz and changing my runes. The timer did not give me appropriate time to change runes or my summoners spells. I went into blitz support with darius top runes and ghost. I only have two rune pages, buying more in incredibly hard to save 6300 blue essence for, which I'd rather spend on a champ. It takes a whole level up to get a maximum of 1260 blue essence. So ridiculous.

Yeah, the rune page system is kinda outdated, Riot should give everyone as many rune ages as they want, but it's just something they don't want to deal with. Like, since they cost as much as a champion, if they refund everyone their blue essence for all their pages, they are basically giving out free champions.

So yeah, it sucks. No help besides buy pages or get faster.

I forgot people struggled with this stuff. I have runes memorized for nearly every champ i play that i have actually kept forgetting to just change rune pages rather than remaking the entire page.

One thing i would suggest when you are last pick and needing to change runes, is to not lock your pick until about 5 sec left. It gives you an extra 25 sec. Also have a few select champs in each role that has rune pages you memorize so that you dont have to spend as long when you are last pick.

Also change runes before it is your pick.
