Why is Poro King now random champions?

Like can you stop ruining every game mode by making it all random. I honestly don't give two flying fat fucks if some is "tired of seeing the same champions over and over". Like I'm literally here to play my champions which I love and have a good time with. I was so impressed you brought back URf and not trash ARURF, but we are right back to this random crap. Can you not understand I am only here to enjoy playing my favorite champions and not the game mode by itself. I only want to play these game modes to get away from the rift, but you're making impossible to enjoy any game mode cause I get stuck with like against 5 adc's in a single lane mode and I am tired of getting shat on. At least let me fucking get shat on playing someone I love and won't feel bad about being shat on with.

Fucking stupid how they ruin every mode with randomness. And then there is this small portion on the boards that says "it is fair compared to picking your own champs" which makes zero fucking sense.

Either get stomped or stomp pretty much most of the time compared to everyone picking their champ which makes the game even.

Can't wait for all random ranked, if it can "fix" urfs problem and they think it improves poroking why not add it to ranked as well.

From someone who plays aram normally why would I even play the gamemode now its just a stompier aram with more "outplay" mechanics for akali just porodash back to the king after murdering everyone. Shares aram balance changes btw so enjoy facing akali, leblanc/AP kaisa etc

Poro king I get. URF on the other hand is just 10 to 15 champs being way OP when being able to be play similarly to how Yasuo plays normally.

Urf was intended as a joke but some people liked it unironically and the game is not better for it.

I'd have no qualms with it if Riot made every champ available so everyone has the exact same chance of getting a "good" champion and everyone has equal RNG.

Honestly, this is why I had more fun with it on the PBE. Everyone has the exact same chance of getting a certain champion.

the real question is: if you alrdy have both game modes (so on excuse saying they dont work in the new client) why not give us both? as crazy as this might sound, some people like it all random. others dont. if you have both gamemodes WHY NOT GIVE US BOTH YOU RIOT STUPID CURSEWORDS

URF for me was ruined two fold.

Random champions made it somewhat easier to avoid the tryhards. Riot's balancing made a lot of champions more broken than ever before.

So even picking my choice champions, it was painful to deal with when it last came out.

It's at a point where I can't stand to play URF, random champions or not.

Honestly I wasn't mad about ARURF because people were tryharding a mode that was supposed to be fun and ridiculous. I know a META began to develop for classic URF and that takes the fun out of it IMO.

HOWEVER, even though I saw trends appearing in classic poro king (heavy poke champs everywhere) I still feel like it should've been a free select mode this time around. This mode doesn't have 80% cdr and unlimited champ resources, so what is the excuse?

Because Riot listens to the community. Last year the community complained about the same picks so riot made it AR. Next year they will revert it because of this year's complaints. This is the definition of listening to the community.

I never played this mode when people could pick their champs. It was stupid. Same champs every game. This is way better and funner. I own every champ. I want to play champs I don't play in normal game modes. Thats why when I want to have fun I play ARAM. I don't want to play a random champ vs 5 people who are tryhards and have picked the strongest champs in the mode.

I don't get it either. ARAM isn't particularly fun if you're just gonna see Brand, Lux, Ziggs, Xerath, etc every game. So AR makes sense. But this is Poro King. Yea, another version of ARAM but to me, what it stood out for was the ability to pick your champion - not the Poro King itself. It's a temporary mode anyway, it should've been with picked champions.

This feels like i'm playing ARAM but just with a Poro King. The disparity between functional and nonfunctional teams still exists and with the Poro King, it's even worse - more damage and faster deaths that end the game pretty quickly.

And of course, the idiots who don't even throw snowballs at all, but eat them like candy. And the idiots who have no basic clue about taking the Poro King down first, before they attempt to fight the enemy team and simply let the enemy poro snacks just rain down on us.

Idk but I just played against a team that had Nunu. He literally invalidated the entire mechanic by just consuming the poro king twice. Totally pointless
