I'm level 21, and still too poor to afford a 2nd Champion.
I am literally too poor not to only play Yorick. Not just that, but the 5-8 champions with designs I'm most interested in (Yorick, Ornn, Illaoi, Swain, Kled, etc.) are all top. Of the 3 basic champions (Brand, Garen, and Ashe) only Brand is even close to being remotely fun to play - Garen and Ashe are the most boring, vanilla champions in the whole game and Brand is barely any better. I got a whole bunch of Champion shards for Champions I don't care about (Rammus, Xin Zhao, like 5 boring eye-candy champions like Ahri and Miss Fortune...), but if I disenchant them I can get them again in the future, so by holding onto them I can try and wait until I get a shard for an interesting champion. But, until then, I'm stuck on 5.2k blue essence and can't afford a cool-looking mid like Ekko or a cool ADC like Jhin. I wish I could play draft or ARAM, but I can't unless I want to waste my hard-earned blue essence on boring, cheap champions like Kayle, and then I'll be stuck occasionally having to play them too. I am completely burned out on trying to learn new champions on free rotation only to have them taken away and having to learn someone new again. What am I supposed to do, exactly?
Edit: Woops, I posted from my old account, on which I only owned Yorick, Cho'Gath, and like 5 cheap champions I bought for ARAM. I had to make a new account because I was already level 29 (now 33) I had no opportunities to earn more blue essence, so I figured that account was (for all intents and purposes) broken by the blue essence update and I had to make a new one if I ever wanted to afford a new champion.
