I recently watched some old Doom Bots of Doom videos and I was really sad coz I havent had a chance to play it back in 2016 and 2017. I would be really glad if Riot brought it back again. Is there any chance for that? Or is it released in every season?
Both versions of doom bots are fun. But I wish they allowed us to gain mastery points while playing these modes vs. AI. I like leveling up champions and it kinda seems to me like a waste of time to play modes where I can't gain any progress in that.
I believe the 2016-2017 version of Doom Bots, also known as the Teemoing, comes about every year around the Harrowing (which is around September-October).
The Other Version, the Original Doombots will most likely never see the light of day. The Teemoing was designed to be a revamped version of Doombots v.1 & has much better gameplay.
Doombots Mk.1 : Destroy the Enemy Nexus, Doombots gain extra powers on higher difficulties.
Doombots mk.2 (Teemoing) : Survive the Timelimit, Defeat Devil Teemo to win. Doombots gain extra powers on higher difficulties, but you gain buffs for defeating the bots.
old doom bots? Are you talking about the really old doom bots? or the current mode... because they are almost completely different
Yeah, I was happy if any of the two versions were released. Much better would be if doom could be set as coop or custom difficulty, but that's a sweet dream. That Devil Teemo game looked just as much fun, too. I hope that when Harrowing comes, it will be available. But thats quite some time to wait :D I also liked URF, much more than All for One or Hexakill, though. An Ultra Rapid ARAM would be even more crazy.
what i liked about the original doom bots wasn't really a about how fair it was or not, but what riot did to the map. SR actually felt like it was different during this time. With the Teemoing, it just doesn't hold the same pull for me.
Also, i did like the original story behind the doom bots and their tricked out abilities, giving players a fresh experience every time they played.
