How the f*ck is this even possible (Bleach)?

I don't know why, but I watched a random Bleach (anime) video on youtube yesterday. It was the fight where Mayuri fights Szayelporro. In the fight Mayuri explains that before the fight started he somehow "replaced" his organs and tendons with dummies. I don't care what fantasy world you're in. If you remove certain organs from you're body you will die very quickly. And even if he somehow magically replaced them with dummies how would he even be able to function (move around, fight, etc)? I realize it's an anime and the rules are not the same, but this just makes zero sense to me. I'm willing to accept things like fire, lightning, and ice appearing out of nowhere because it's magic and you can just do that, but even for the rules of this anime, I don't understand how this is possible. Can someone explain plz?

This is also the anime that has people survive with their heart blown to pieces.

So yeah.

Best not to think too much about it.

However, you should remember that this is a guy who has had thousands of years as a scientist that didn't have to suffer from age. He lost almost half of his body in his fight against Uryu (Quincy Boy), and still survived because his head wasn't hit. Right after, that same head (with what's left of his body) turns into a goo that can't be damaged (which I think was only partially true). So it's clear he has had the time and research done to not only replace most of his body with artificial equivalents, but also sustain himself as just a head.

Don't ask me how he managed to come up with it, but that "goo of preservation" keeping his brain alive is the only explanation.

Mayuri literally screws around with his own body and Zanpakuto for the shits and giggles. He has a serum that liquefies his body so he could a escape a losing fight (he used it against Uryu during the Ryoka arc).

Even then Bleach is basically deus ex machina - the anime/manga. It's full of bullshit asspulls that come from nowhere. As much as I love(d) Bleach, sometimes Tite Kubo's writing is just kinda shitty.
