It's been -40 all week

It was about 15 years ago, same time of year and was chatting with someone in what ever game I was playing at the time.

Mentioned I had to go plug my wife's car in, guy was all surprised we had electric cars in Canada, took me about 10 minutes to explain what a block heater and interior car warmer was.

meanwhile its been in the 80's every day here in Hawai'i ;)

You live in Manitoba right? We are getting a cold snap in New Brunswick too but it rarely goes lower than -30 here.
