For what it's worth- I played DOTA back before League and played league religiously when it was first released. I watched as the community got more and more toxic. I stopped playing for many reasons and the community was the main reason. I occasionally will come back and play a match when a friend who still plays invites me. Every time the community just hits so hard with hate! My first game in 7 months and I am told my life is a fucking waste and I should go kill myself ... I ignored the comments and didn't reply playing my best. I played my second game and played my best to which at the end I was told I was useless and should uninstall. It's just unfortunate as I have so many awesome memories of playing this when it first came out.

Blame matchmaking not the players. You probably got threw to the casual grinding players of higher rank than you. Matchmaking is completely BS, yesterday played a normal match as jungler, got threw in to 4 man premade, turns out they are silvers and bronzes, and enemy team 3 man and duo of plats and the other rest premade, plat, gold and unranked. So how the match turned out? My bronze bot lane against plat bot lane after my constant baby sit still gone 2/20, mid 2/15 and top somehow gone 5-5, and my self 10-3 without any chance to do a jackshit to them.

My suggestion? Ignore them, look for the kind people in games. You can generally find at least one or two.

Try different queues as well, as you'll start at a lower MMR and be less overwhelmed, and therefore less likely to be flamed for doing poorly.
