Lag Spikes with NO fixes??!

So... I suffer from lag spikes on a wireless connection. A bane on any gamer's existence for sure, BUT I read in another forum discussion that there was a near 99% guaranteed fix. So I followed their instructions to the tippity top of the "T", but alas ya'll, this junk laptop I use has all the same pathways, Control Panel>Network Connections>Advanced Settings, yada yada yada... yet when I get to the advanced settings...I have these 4...IRRITATINGLY dead ending options:

Adhoc Support 802.11 (Currently Enabled, when disabled, makes no difference)... Multimedia/Gaming Environment (Enabled..I was sure this would help..but heff no, made no difference)...Radio On/Off (Enabled, made no difference), and lastly the coup de grace: Roaming Sensitivity (At 2 out of 6, equating to "High" currently, which I've messed around with these settings, at one point disabling it, still to no avail) AND OBVIOUSLY the interrupt Moderation setting is nowhere to be found, which seemed to be the gloryhole of wins at this point, because I just wanna stop lag spiking, it's potentially costing me and my teams win, and we know that's NOT GOOD!!!. I've tried to update my router, my computer, tried a few other failed attempts at messing with settings involving anything internet connectivity related, and nothing.

Am I just doomed to just not to play LoL anymore, or does someone have a simplistic laptop similar to mine and have found a solution somewhere I haven't looked? I haven't tried running any programs to check for specific packet losses or anything, mainly because I am not a tech savvy kinda dude, I have 2 children and an overly needy wife, computers are not high on my priorities list, but when I get a spare moment, LoL is the game I wanna play. Please, someone throw me a bone and save my soul. No way I'm going to call Comcast out here to fix this, when I know they won't, and will end up charging me for some dumb service visit or some crap like that.

If you do have the solution for me, I would appreciate all links to programs I'll need, easy to understand pathways and instructions, because I'm a dummy, and I will heff this up if giving ample opportunity.

THANKS IN ADVANCE, GLHF, See you in game hopefully!

I suggest you try to see if your modem AND laptop can support 5GHz. Why because at 5ghz they are very few devices that communicate in that frequency. Your default setting in your modem is lower like 2,3 or 4 Ghz but in those frequencies is sometimes occupied by other electronic devices eg your neighbour's wifi -yes i was in a neighbourhood with plenty wifi sources like remote aircorditioners and many wifis but that makes my wifi suck cause their signlas was messing with mine and as result it got weaker. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/network-wifi/how-enable-5ghz-wi-fi-on-your-laptop-3608743/ Here a helpfull site to get started and then find more in other forums about your modem and laptop

Makes sense. I used to work in a factory that would have similar wifi problems. The various entry points around the shop would affect our equipment when travelling between two or more. Was a pain in the caboose. Thanks for the tips and link, I'll see how this goes!
