Help me with a name for my Kitten!

My kitten Luke is a Russian Blue, dark shadowy gray with a smooth silver sheen and golden/yellow eyes. He is extremely soft and fluffy with a soft mew and very playful and silly. Always follows me around and tries to steal my food even after he has eaten. Now I need a name for him because his old name Luke is too plain. So I will suggest names I found and have a vote OR you can suggest your own.

Here are my stipulations for names:

  1. No human names unless they are very rare or never used
  2. no pop culture/character names (doesnt work for cats but does for dogs)
  3. Names must reflect his appearance and/or personality
  4. Nature related names are perfect
  5. Holiday names are great
  6. No cliche or overused names

Ok now that said, here are the names I have picked out.

  • Pico (as in picometers = 1/1000th of a millimeter)
  • Anchovy
  • Cloud
  • Whisper -Zephyr (means wind)
  • Breeze
  • Sterling
  • Blue
  • Cirrus
  • Nimbus
  • Tinsel

I vote for Fluffballue... he sounds like he's fluffball and he's a russian blue so I put them together.

Having named many MANY pets/cats in my life, honestly, what name is your cat? It could be Luke. Plain names are subject for debate. I had a cat named Blackie that we kept trying to rename into something more exciting like Onyx and Obsidian. Ultimately, it never fit because he wasn't an Onyx or Obsidian, he was a Blackie (and the sweetest, most obedient loving cat ever).

So as silly as it sounds, what is your cat? When you see how he acts, his personality, his traits, what name do you think of when you look at him? What name fits when you say "yes, you're a -insert name-"?
