Came back to try out league after quitting back in season 5 due to tanks getting insane dmg buffs

I also came back to play in I think s6 or s7 (got to masters with ap kog and got bored of the game). I gotta say the meta is insanely bad now. Back in the day if you didn't pick a meta champ you would reduce your chances of winning maybe by like 10-20%, now you're reducing your chances of winning by 50-70%... These meta champs are actually insane and easily 1v5. This is in diamond so decent enough elo to see what the meta is all about. The worst part is all these meta champs now are really brainless, especially vlad/urgot/sylas, lcs is the same 10 champs and bans. Riot really takes their time nerfing things. I thought the game would get better overtime but I guess it just gets worse and worse, definitely will not be continuing playing. Good luck to everyone still enjoying this game.

Riot has never really understood balance, but today, they're barely even trying anymore. It's more like they throw darts randomly and whatever sticks is what's going to get changed. No focus, no direction, lazy solutions. What a surprise the meta is bad.

The worst part? They don't take player feedback. It's arrogance of the highest order.

Thanks for the replies =) In that case being high elo does legitimate the post because in low elo you can still pick whatever champion and win games. But in high elo, apparently (I'm not high elo), you have to pick meta champ (much more than before).

yeah...and it was calculated I'm sure. meta champs are usually what 4-6k "blue essence" a piece right?

they can make a lot of money off smurfs this way.

I mean who wants to have to grind to play the champions they enjoy.
